The first Sunday in September, as every year, in Venice there is the Regata Storica (Historical Regatta). Doge, Dogaressa and Magistrate of the ancient Repubblica Marinara, soldiers and buglers, dressed with costume of sixteenth-century, on board of the historical boats and gondolas, crossed San Marco lagoon and traveled along Grand Canal. After, stared the real regattas with gondolas, mascarete and caorline, the boats of Venetian rowing. Magnificent costumes, strong and determinated rowers, great crowd.
At the sunset, cruise ships come back.
